If you don't already know me, Scotti and Kim are the weirdest people alive, you should probably skip this.

August 17-19, 2007—I finally made it home to Albuquerque. Some quick pics of one of the coolest parts of New Mexico: Ghost Ranch, where Georgia O’Keefe made her home.

Also passed Camel Rock on the way south to Santa Fe:

Scotti flew in for the weekend to say goodbye, so she, Kim and I fell right back into our goofy behavior together.

Leap!

We played in the park for hours, climbing trees, throwing a Frisbee and a football, and doing handstands…

Oops, not quite there. Try again.

Almost…

Got it! (yeah, Kim’s just lopsided.)

Next day we headed over to Kim and Matt’s new house with some cervesas and played drinking games in the middle of the afternoon. Before we knew it, we were feeling a good buzz and took a tag break outside. We even dragged Matty into our favorite game, where there are actually 4 “it”s that each require a different kind of “tag” (touch someone’s nose, step on a toe, bite shoulder, and slap/kick their ass). It’s a melee of fun! Scotti is protecting her nose from me…

Scooter goes for Kim’s toe…

Scotti wards off Kim…

Kim bites Matt’s shoulder…

Scotti wards off Matt, but Matt has found something much more interesting…

A praying mantis!!

Kim wouldn’t stop playing, though… and apparently I was tired

But then, we heard the ice cream truck!! Yay! We went running after it like the kids we are and ended up sitting in Kim and Matt’s front yard enjoying our prizes.

Matt was very excited when Scotti offered him the rest of hers…

Sunday before Scotti had to get back on the plane we went golfing.

We were slow, though, so we had to kill some time letting the folks behind us play through.

Then we had to send Scotti back home… and I spent the rest of the upcoming week catching up my blog, getting some much needed chill time after 2 months on the go, and (at the last minute, of course) getting ready for the big move to Australia.
